Wu Chou (President, Services Society)

Dr. Wu Chou is an IEEE Fellow and CEO of Essenlix Corporation. Prior to joining Essenlix, he was VP and CTO of enterprise network at Huawei, with extensive experience and contributions in AI, data networking, services, and IoT (Internet-of-things). He published over 200 conference and journal papers with over 50 granted US and International patents.

Liang-Jie Zhang (Vice President of Technical Activities, Services Society)

Dr. Liang-Jie (LJ) Zhang is a Distinguished Professor of the College of Computer Science and Software Engineering at Shenzhen University. He also serves as the President of Shenzhen Entrepreneurship and Innovation Federation (SEIF). Previously, He was a Senior Vice President, Head of Kingdee Research, General Manager of Customer Success, and CTO of Kingdee International Software Group Company Limited. Prior to Kingdee, he was a Research Staff Member, Program Manager of Application Architectures and Realizations, and Chief Architect of Industrial Standards at IBM.

Dr. Zhang has published more than 210 technical papers in journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings. He has more than 90 granted patents. He was elected as an ACM Distinguished Scientist in 2009 and an IEEE Fellow in 2011, and in the same year won the Technical Achievement Award "for pioneering contributions to Application Design Techniques in Services Computing" from IEEE Computer Society. Dr. Zhang is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Web Services Research (IJWSR). He also served as the founding Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Services Computing from 2008 to 2012.

Ali Arsanjani (Chair of SIG on Artificial Intelligence)

Dr. Ali Arsanjani is the director of Cloud Partner Engineering at Google. Before this position, he was the TechSector Leader and Principal Specialist Machine Learning Architect for AI/ML Solutions Architecture with Amazon Web Services. He leads the Technology Sector for Saas, Software, ISVs and Internet, where AWS largest customers are served. He also leads an Applied Science team for research in AI.

From 1998 to 2018, Ali was an IBM Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Analytics & Machine Learning, IBM Distinguished Engineer, responsible for applied research and architectural implementations leading IBM services teams in customized machine learning and analytics solutions. Building teams across multiple geos in large-scale agile solution development he was considered the father of SOA. His career spans CTO responsibilities for SOA, BPM, RPA, Analytics, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Systems.

Ali is a hands-on machine learning executive and engineer/researcher with over 20 years experience implementing software systems that leverage service-oriented architecture, analytics and machine learning for IBM’s largest clients. Ali's breadth of ML and DL expertise covers NLP/NLU/NLG, Deep learning ensemble models, anomaly/outlier/pattern detection and training, customer segmentation/churn/upsell analysis , voice/video and text analysis for conversational virtual assistant implementations.

Ali has chaired standard bodies such as The Open Group and is responsible for co-leading the SOA Reference Architecture, SOA Maturity Model, and Cloud Computing Architecture standards. In his long tenure at IBM, He & his team specialize in harvesting, developing best-practices for microservices architectures on hundreds of projects WW across multiple industries, leading a community of practice of over 6000 people.

Benjamin Goldshlager

Mr. Benjamin Goldshlager is a well-established expert on middleware architecture, design and development using Service Oriented Architecture.

He served as Vice President at Bank of America, Goldman Sachs for 10 years, after retiring from IBM as an Executive Architect with 30+ years of distinguished services.

He focused his research and development on server side design and development including the first implementation of Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) for a large retail company. He specialized in middleware solutions in large environments, and led to integrate IBM products, open source packages with existing client legacy applications creatively in financial, banking, retail and other industries.

Min Luo (Vice President and CFO, Services Society)

Dr. Min Luo has over 25+ years of successful professional career, including over 20 years of management position at Huawei Central Research Institute, IBM Software Group and Global Services, and two of the Fortune 500 transportation companies.

He is an established expert in the field of next negation software defined networking (SDN), enterprise architecture and information systems, whole life cycle software application and product development, business intelligence, and business process optimization.

He is also a pioneer and one of the recognized leading experts and educators in service-oriented architecture (SOA), model/business-driven architecture and development (MDA-D), and component/object-oriented technologies.

Zhixiong Chen (Past President, Services Society)

Dr. Z Chen is a professor in the department of Math & Computer Sciences at Mercy College in New York. He is the director of the Cyber Education Center since 2019. He has been working on the cybersecurity for over 20 years. His research interests are data security and exploration. He has published over 40 papers. He has worked in IBM research, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Mercy College. He is the senior members in IEEE and ACM as well. He holds CISSP since 2010. The Cybersecurity Education Center he founded in 2007 is a national center of academic excellence on cyber defense education (CAE-CDE) designated by NSA and DHS. He was awarded several grants from DHA for developing cyber security course ware.
